Abstract
The aim is to develop a new approach to pain investigations using the mobile Short Messaging Service (SMS) technology. In this technique quite efficient and reliable mechanisms are adopted compared to the previous ones which use the VAS (visual analogue scale) routine to look for post-operative pain investigations where a reliable information acquiring was almost next to impossible. All of these functions are done in a quite smart way from the sending to the receiving side. To know about the patients post-operative condition there is no need for formal interviews with them instead the interaction with them is through SMS, an IP based protocol is used to send SMS from the central data base repeatedly sometimes as a reminder after the surgery. Hence in the way the whole process is made to monitor the post dental healing of patients.
