Abstract
To achieve high bitrates for all users in a radio communication system, adaptive modulation and coding is a commonly used technique. The task of the master thesis work is to evaluate the problem of pessimistic interference estimates on link adaption from a link and system perspective, formulate and evaluate methods to counter the negative effects of pessimistic interference estimates and validate these in system simulations.
