Abstract
This project is to design the radio frequency (RF) subsystem for a software-defined radio (SDR) based massive MIMO test-bed operating at 27GHz. Off-the-shelf RF components, including RF switch, PA, filters, mixer, LNA, and PLL, will be used. One of the main tasks of this thesis project is to design a printed circuit board (PCB) to integrate the selected RF components in an appropriate way that system-level performance requirement can be met. High-end signal generator, spectrum analyzer, and vector network analyzer will be used for performance measurement. Students also have the opportunity to verify the designed RF subsystem in the SDR massive MIMO testbed using over-the-air transmission.
