Curriculum Vitae
Kaan Bür, Associate Professor
I am currently a project coordinator at Lund University. Prior to that, I have worked as a researcher on a number of projects at various European universities for five years. I have a Ph.D. in computer engineering. My current research interests include autonomous communications, next generation mobile broadband networks, mobile and vehicular ad hoc networks, wireless mesh and sensor networks, and network performance optimisation. I am also interested in the communications aspects of cyber-physical systems and networked control systems.
Academic Background
Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Engineering, February 2006. Dissertation title "Quality-of-Service-Aware Multicast Routing for Multimedia Applications in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks". Advisor Prof. Cem Ersoy.
- Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Boğaziçi University, İstanbul (2006)
- M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Boğaziçi University, İstanbul (1998)
- B.Sc. in Control and Computer Engineering, İstanbul Technical University (1995)
Boğaziçi University, 1863, and İstanbul Technical University, 1773, are Turkey's most acknowledged academic institutions. Their computer engineering departments, both accredited by ABET and following the ACM/IEEE curriculum, accept only the top 1% of the Turkish high school graduates to their undergraduate programmes.
