Electromagnetics and Nanoelectronics
Welcome to the Division of Electromagnetics and Nanoelectronics!
The scientific and technical areas of the division spans from theoretical electromagnetics to the physics and application of electronic devices.
The electromagnetics research covers interactions of electromagnetic fields with structures. Within the nanoelectronics area, we are designing, building and testing nanoscale devices, circuits and basic systems.
Our research focuses on a wide range of applications from THz electronics, over advanced calculations of electromagnetic matter interaction, to neuromorphic structures for artificial intelligence. We are also working on quantum and cryogenic electronics, advanced low power devices and circuit concepts for internet of things, power electronics, and design and evaluation of metamaterials.
We are involved in education in courses covering electromagnetics and electrodynamics, basic and high frequency electronics as well as advanced device physics.
