Sammanfattning
The aim of this Master’s thesis work is to analyses the suitable environment for different virtualization systems to achieve enhanced performance. The research questions are the performance overhead, and the performance variability overhead uses a standalone VM or Docker to introduce its base physical machine over time. The challenge of finding a feasible solution is to figure out the parameters of the communication evaluation result, computing evaluation result, storage evaluation result and memory evaluation result. The parameters will be used in the performance comparison and analysis. Also, we need to consider the benchmark tools for testing purposes. We use a micro-benchmark tool to evaluate the performance of various components such as CPU, memory, disk I/O, and network on a different virtualization environment. The macro-benchmark tool will be used to understand the impact of different virtualization technology in real-world applications.
