Elektroniska frågor
There will be 5 short quizzes available via moodle.eit.lth.se. The purpose of these quizzes is to test your overall understanding in 5 different areas: Forensics, Secure Networks, Identity & Access, Platform Security, Devices & Software Security. The questions are rather simple. Of the possible answers you have to choose the best alternative.
You need to signup in the moodle system to take these tests. From the results of these tests your final grading for this course will be computed (you can here benefit from extra points received from your project reports). You will be given a limited number of attempts in each test but are free to do the test between it is opened and the closing date of 31/10. Except for that there is a mandatory waiting time between the first and second attempt.
You have 3 regular attempts to pass the first quiz and 2 attempts for quiz 2,3,4, and 5. You can do a quiz whenever you want after it is made available.
Starting from quiz 2 the correct answers will not appear after your attempt. This feature was initially enabled so you get acquainted with the system and style. Showing the correct answer has the disadvantage that people easily zoom into the correct answer which easily can be seen from the score statistics.
Grading of the quizes will most likely be done using the principles of the procedure in this document but the given thresholds are indicative and subdue to change during the final grading..
The results of your quizzes will not be posted here due to privacy reasons. Use the moodle system to track your progress.
NOTE 1: Signup and login on http://moodle.eit.lth.se/login/index.php
NOTE 2: Quizzes that are left open (that is you started with the quiz but not finished or submitted it will be closed after one day. It is a bit unclear is such forced submission is counted as an attempt or not. I watch the submission process on a regular basis and will remove attempts that were left open and see that they are not counted. Be observant but it is better to avoid such situations as it slows things down for you.
NOTE 3: Oct 31 is the correct deadline for the quizzes even if the quizzes themselves show a later date. I programmed to keep the Moodle system available with the given setup in case people show up that on legitimate reasons (e.g. illness) could not meet the deadline. It's a hassle to open the system on a person by person basis
