Thanks to all of you that participated in the course Advance Computer Security.
2013-10-31: Closed for this academic year. No updates of information on these web pages are planned.
2013-10-28: Results are handed over to our course administration and will entered into ladok asap. Moodle will be closed on Wednesday. We are now quickly approaching the point where I freeze this site and no longer will post updates.
2013-10-26: Tomorrow I will pull out the results from moodle and the project results to do the grading of each of you. The results will apprear via the ladok system as quickly as possible. Be patient! You will see the results apprearing. With some effort you can however see you performance in the results that I will publish on Monday. You have to deduce yourselve what data applies to you as I will not spell out names on the results published on the web.
The method for quiz grading you can find under "Electronic quiz".Final grading will be done during coming weekend, Oct 26-27. One should have at least one registered quiz attempt for each quiz in order to get your scores been taken into account for the grading.
2013-10-24: Christopher became father and is therefore not available for questions. Contact Ben
2013-10-23: Under "results" you find a summary of the project report status.
Today (Oct 20) is the last day you can submit the first version of your report(s). Observe that some reports that were submitted are marked pending. They must be corrected or complemented before the exam week finishes, that is Oct 26.
2013-10-12: Some of you experience problems while working on Question 14 of Project 4(IPsec). It ispossible to generete the public-private key pairs outside the gateway and move them into the virtual machines but this must be done with some care so the existing PKI engine actually accepts them. Just placing them in the correct directory is not sufficient. You can use the existing keys and certificates but they do not work right away so also there you must think how the overcome the PKI engine restrictive policy. On the linux (fedora) machines you can switch keyboard by entering the system-config-keyboard command and follow the instructions (no restart is needed).
2013-10-11: On request the deadline to finish the quizes is moved to Octber 26, the last day of the official exam week. Moodle will still show Oct 30 (see below).
2013-10-09: If you noticed problems with a crashing zombie.exe make the executable compatible for XP with service pack2
2013-10-09: Oct 20th is the correct deadline for the quizzes even if the
quizzes themselves show a later date. I programmed to keep the Moodle
system available with the given setup in case people show up that on
legitimate reasons (e.g. illness) could not meet the deadline. It's a
hassle to open the system on a person by person basis
2013-10-08: Question 14 in Project 4 (IPsec) was updated with a clarification
2013-10-02: projects 4 and 5 are available
2013-09-30: First results of Project2 are available (see project pages)
2013-09-25: see below Lecture schedule for the crypto slides of which some were used to day.
2013-09-16: First results for project 1 are available. Check if you need to complement your report.
2013-09-11: We found the cause of problem with access. Now all those that registered and gave me your personnummer have been entered (except for one person whose personnummer was lacking so we requested it to get from the central LU system)
2013-09-09: Access to lab at 4th floor may not work for all, especially those that enlisted late for the course can have problems. Access should be fixed on Wednesday this week or hopefully tomorrow.
2013-09-08: First quiz will open Monday 9/9 20.00
2013-09-04: Location for the lectures moved to E:B for all occasions. Update your TimeEdit data so you will have the correct information.
Schedules and Project assignments may be changed as we proceed.
