Microwave tomography
2006-01-01 -> 2010-12-31
Abstract: | Microwave tomography is an inverse problem with several promising applications in non-invasive medical imaging and non-destructive testing. Besides the analytical and computational challenges of the inversion algorithms the basic understanding of the microwave tomography set-up is not adequate. We foresee a need to improve the understanding of the significance of the number, positions, and radiation patterns of the antennas as well as the used signal spectrum and the influence of the noise statistics. |
