Power Aware Communications for Wireless OptiMised personal Area Networks
2002-01-01 -> 2005-12-31
Abstract: | PACWOMAN is a European Project aiming at developing enabling technologies for Personal Area Networks. The PACWOMAN project aims at providing the necessary tools to design a low cost and secure wireless (Ipv6) personal and access network, as part of the 4G picture. This "toolbox" will consist of physical/MAC layers that enable low-power operation and scalability (mainly in bit rates and in device complexity), advanced networking concepts to optimise the communication load, security concepts that counteracts the "open nature" of wireless communications and a gateway to the external (wireline and wireless) world. |
