Abstract
The Swedish Sea Rescue Society (Sjöräddningssällskapet) is running a project developing a fixed-wing drone to provide early aerial imagery in search and rescue missions. In the thesis, software for controlling the camera gimbal with a joystick is implemented and used in two experiments: the first evaluating the effects of latency on an operator, the second testing the software during a real flight over the Gothenburg archipelago.
