The networking and security group at EIT conducts research and teaching of system architecture and security aspects of computer communication and distributed systems.

In the networking area, the research is focused on different aspects of network performance, especially of wireless network access. The group works on developing and analysing network architectures which support different application scenarios ranging from traditional WLAN access to IoT systems and vehicular networks.

The security research is mainly focused on the design and analysis of encryption primitives, including security evaluations, attack methods and both software and hardware performance of stream ciphers.
