Sammanfattning
Axis Communications is integrating microphones in their cameras. Since the audio sources that one wants to listen to is often far away from the camera the signal is often very weak and the signal to noise ratio may be very low. This puts high demands on the microphone system to be able to interpret these weak signals. The goal is to improve the sound quality of Axis cameras by design an analogue microphone system that yields the best possible capture of an incoming acoustic signal at a reasonable cost. In order to achieve this the optimal microphone will be chosen, and a stable power supply will be designed in order to get a good sound to electrical signal conversion. The acoustic mechanical design will be evaluated. The signal transport will be evaluated and possibly improved. The necessary signal processing circuits before the AD converter will be designed and a suitable AD converter will be chosen.
