Sammanfattning
There are many different technologies for transmitting data using radio waves, such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, Z-wave, Wifi. For this thesis project we will specify requirements for a data link for battery powered sensor nodes communicating to a central node. We will focus on low power, range and security of data. A thinkable implementation would be alarm sensors which demands that not only the transmitted data is correct but also that there is a way to be made aware of interference and attacks on the sensor itself. After the initial work of selecting a suitable technology, focus will be shifted to development of a working prototype. Development will start with an evaluation of available radio hardware such as, silicon radio chips, antennae and passive components. This prototype should be interfaced to Axis A1001 access controller to be able to be used as a demo.
