Beskrivning
With 5G new tighter power consumption requirements are put on Ericsson’s base station products[1]. Thus finding solution to lower the power is essential. One area is the radio ASIC, which performs Uplink(UL) and Downlink (DL) data filtering. Part of that filtering is using Symmetric Finite Impulse Response (SFIR) filters to separate each data channel from the spectrum dedicated to a particular mobile service provider. This thesis will try to explore and compare different power saving techniques in order to achieve high throughput, low latency and energy efficient radio ASICs for Ericsson’s 5G base station product offerings.
