Extra guest lecture by ICANN 10/12 15-16
Patrick Jones from ICANN will give an extra guest lecture to us. The lecture will cover an overview of the DNS, ICANN’s technical role and some current research and reports on the Internet’s unique identifiers and DNS ecosystem security.
Patrick coordinates ICANN's Global Stakeholder Engagement activities across its regional and functional teams, working closely with counterparts in ICANN org's community-facing areas. He has been active in Internet governance, policy, technology/security and privacy areas since 2000. Patrick is an invited participant from ICANN technical staff in the Security and Stability Advisory Committee (SSAC). He regularly speaks at regional Internet and DNS events on security, privacy and technology issues.
