Kursinformation
Welcome to EITF50: Introduction to Wireless Systems, 2020
Below is some general information about this course.
In accordance with the above, the course aims to provide broad knowledge in high frequency electronic circuits (a.k.a. radio frequency (RF) circuits), especially those used in radio communications. The fundamental circuit building blocks are introduced and are treated as functional blocks, defined by their physical properties. This will not only provide a solid fundamental understanding of the radio transceiver (base station or user equipment of a wireless communication system), but also the requirements placed on the used circuits at both link ends of a wireless system.
Advanced measurement techniques will be taught and will be practiced in reality with spectrum analyzers and vector network analyzers during laboratory experiments to study separate circuit blocks and component behaviors.
Thus, An Introduction to Wireless Systems is a compulsory course for those who later want to specialise as RF design of communication systems.
