Welcome to the 2018 course in Advanced Computer Security.
A general remark from Jonathan and me. Overall we were very happy to see better quality of the submitted reports. This gives better understanding from your side and from our side. Thanks!.
2018-11-07: Now the final results that will be reported are listed on the result page. A big thanks for your interest and success with further studies./Ben
2018-11-04: This week I plan to submit the results for registration into ladok. There are still some groups that have not corrected their reports.
2018-10-31: Started to compile project results in a single table. See 'results page' if you want to follow the progress. This manual work so check if your results are copied correctly. Those who have pending reports should asap complement their report.
2018-10-29: Check if your submitted reports have been listed as received (at least) and let me know if it is missing and send me the report directly in that case. Today I will continue to go through your reports in the order I received them and hope to have finished that by tomorrow evening latest.
2018-10-24: Project E tracking started under project results.
2018-10-19: Contrary to what was said today during the lecture it is possible to complement with project's B parts. Deadlines are 28/10 for project A(quiz) and E and 21/10 for B, C and D
2018-10-18: Deadline for project D is moved to 21/10. Groups that need to complement project D will get individual instructions to proceed.
2018-10-07: Initiated tracking of projectC under project results.
2018-10-07: TPM project. part B. Remember that when you take ownership via the command line you have to specify owner and srk password. The srk password is specified via policy of the srk key. However, the owner password is not associated with a key (like SRK) but the TPM itself, so you set it via the TPM policy before taking ownership.
Printing of the public keys can be done in various ways, for example on the basis of the following via get key attributes: printpubkey.c
2018-10-03: results on project B are now becoming available as I go through the reports and code. many have missed the instruction to also include the source code listings in the report. This is mainly to get a efficient process for storing the report (text) and the source code for archiving as we have to do to comply with regulations.
2018-09-29:Quiz on TPM will open on Sunday 30/9.
2018-09-28: Initiated tracking of projectB under project results. At the moment only registered submitted reports are listed. I will go throught the report and code in the order I got them and it will take some time to do this. If you submitted your report/code and your group is not listed, drop an email. Urkund sometimes sensors submissions by hanging on the analysis. Remember that sending code via Urkund requires you to send your code as text file.
2018-09-23 Important: There is an issue when running Autopsy in Kali. The contents of the files are not shown. As a quick fix, run the following command: "ln -s /usr/bin/icat /usr/bin/icat-sleuthkit" and you should be able to view the content of a file. To be able to view the timeline, run the following command: "ln -s /usr/bin/mactime /usr/bin/mactime-sleuthkit".
2018-09-14: Deadlines in moodle for the two projekt quizzes have been corrected to be Oct 28th.
2018-09-12: The moodle system is setup to handle individuals and not groups which means that also the project quizzes has to be taken individually.
2018-09-10: If people have not found a partner to team up for the projects let me know.
2018-09-06: preliminary grouping list here.
2018-08-31: The bookings in timedit that are marked as "Project" are only done for booking labspace and do not mean that there is an organized teaching event at that time slot.
