Temperature meter with LCD-screen and serial communication
This project creates and builds a prototype that can measure temperature and communicate to other terminals using RS-232 serial communication. In total the project took seven weeks to finish and resulted in a working prototype. It can display the temperature in both Celsius and Fahrenheit on an LCD screen which is controlled by a keypad. The purpose of the project was to give us deeper knowledge in prototype building and electronic construction. On the way the group as a whole increased their ability in C programming, electronic components and its working, debugging and what information to look for in the datasheets.
