Gemma Vall-llosera was born in Sant Celoni, Barcelona, in 1975. She received the Diploma in Optics from the Politechnics University of Catalonia (UPC) in 1998 and the Dr. degree in Experimental Physics from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden in 2008. In 2008 she joined the Electrical and Information Technology group at Lund University, Sweden where she worked with error fingerprinting of xDSL networks. March 2010 she joined the Broadband Technologies group at Ericsson and she is working with next generation optical access networks and architectures.
