EIT, Project, Antenna-Channel Harmonization for Throughput Enhancement in Advanced Mobile Terminals, Project facts, 2010-01-01 -> 2013-12-31

Abstract:	In this project, we will investigate the cross-disciplinary aspects of antennas and propagation channel for MIMO throughput enhancement in advanced mobile terminals. Since users have very little control over the channel, we propose to harmonize the antenna-channel interaction using adaptive impedance matching networks to tune the antennas to a given channel. An important end result of the project will be a technology demonstrator to highlight throughput gains with adaptive matching.
