On-body antenna for watersports

During watersports there is often a need for communication, especially when teaching the subject. But the environment puts high demands on both the radios used, and the antennas. The project is aimed at developing an antenna solution for handheld radios which makes it possible to communicate with the students even when they are partially under water. The target application is white water kayaking. The project includes development of a suitable antenna and coupler to a commercial radio. The antenna solution should be robust enough to withstand the environment, and at the same time be reliable to be used in the hazardous conditions.
