Synopsys TCAD

The TCAD package from Synopsys is now available.

Version 2023.12

This latest version is now installed on our standard system.

The System Workbench tool can be started by first defining the environment
with the command source /usr/local-eit/cad2/synopsys/tcad23/setup

and then starting the tool with swb

Some manuals can be read by

evince $STROOT/sentaurus/current/tcad/current/manuals/PDFManual/front.pdf

How to Start

The package consists of several modules which have been installed at the
location /usr/local-eit/cad2/synopsys/tcad on our standard system.

One of the modules is called System Workbench and can be started by this
procedure.

Create and descend into a new library, tcad.

Type source /usr/local-eit/cad2/synopsys/tcad/setup

Start the tool with swb
